Hennessey Performance (HP), a Sealy, Texas based after-market auto tuner with a penchant for endowing vehicles with extreme power, has announced a new “Goliath 700” pickup.
The custom 4×4 is based on the 2020 GMC Sierra. Hennessey engineers fitted GMs 6.2-liter V8 with a 2.9-liter supercharger to up the output from 420 to 700 hp. The extra juice gives the Goliath a deceptively quick zero-to-60 mph of 4.3 seconds. See the difference on the drag strip via the video below:
Naturally, other mechanical components had to be installed to handle the 280 extra horses, including a new camshaft and pushrods, high-flow intercooling and air induction systems, and bolstered hardware.
The Goliath also received Hennessey’s purpose-built Stage-1 off-road package, which entails a six-inch lift kit, custom 20-inch 10-spoke wheels wrapped in 35-inch Toyo off-road tires, extra LEDs in the branded front bumper, and a host of graphics. More embroidered “Hennessey Performance” and “Goliath” badging is found on the rear, front and embroidered headrests.
“The demand for upgrading luxury pickups is at an all-time high,” said company founder John Hennessey. “A serious truck should have serious power and the Goliath 700 delivers on this mantra. We’re offering a complete turnkey power package with warranty that delivers an exciting driving experience both on and off-road.”
After purchasing a 2020 GMC Sierra, customers can order the Goliath 700 Supercharger and Stage-1 Off-Road packages separately for $18,950 and for $29,950, respectively. Other options include stainless steel exhaust system, drop-down side steps, a GOLIATH-branded interior, and an electric retractable bed cover.
Those who don’t already own the stock truck can also order the Hennessey Performance Goliath 700 online or from any authorized dealer with a base price of $105,000. And if you’re loyal to Chevy, Hennessey will also give the Goliath treatment to a 2020 Silverado.
